Co-author of Patient Handling and Movement Assessment (PHAMA) design criteria that was incorporated into the FGI Healthcare Design Guidelines (2010, 2014, 2018, 2022).
Primary Author of Patient Handling and Movement Assessments: A White Paper, 2nd edition, 2019.
Co-lead of Facility Guidelines Institute (FGI) team writing design specifications for individuals of size incorporated in 2018 & 2022 FGI Design Guidelines.
Subject matter expert and lead for SPHM component of FGI Safety Risk Assessment.
Collaborated with architects/designers to develop SPHM Design Manual for inclusion in Master Design Specifications document for VA.
Led team of SPHM experts to conduct patient handling simulations with a variety of equipment to determine clearances needed for safe patient handling while conducting high risk patient handling tasks
